CBD helps with insomnia!
The Mayo Clinic defines insomnia as follows:
“Insomnia is a common sleep disorder that can make it hard to fall asleep, hard to stay asleep or cause you to wake up too early and not be able to get back to sleep. You may still feel tired when you wake up. Insomnia can sap not only your energy level and mood but also your health, work performance, and quality of life.”
Have you found yourself struggling with your quality of sleep? And how has it been affecting your daily life? You may feel foggy, irritable, and, of course, tired!
But don’t worry! CBD is known to help our customers who deal with insomnia! Whether you have several of the above symptoms or just one, CBD can help you.
But how is CBD effective?
CBD targets the hypothalamus in your brain! A Forbes article explains it best:
“The hypothalamus plays a role in several sleep-related functions, including regulating body temperature and synchronizing sleep patterns. CBD can help people with insomnia because it works with the hypothalamus to regulate stress, says Dr. Whitelocke. “Insomnia results from an overactive stress reaction that’s spilling into a rest time when we’re not trying to process conscious trauma,” he adds. “CBD can suppress this dysregulated cycle of stress hormone overactivation and equalize the sleep and wake rhythm through counteracting hormones.”
In a study examining the effects of cannabis on insomnia, researchers found CBD more effectively decreased symptoms of insomnia than delta-9 THC, which is the most abundant active constituent in the cannabis sativa plant that has an intoxicatingly psychoactive effect[2].”

The important thing to understand is the difference between a 100% CBD product as opposed to using the less refined cannabis Sativa plant.
Forbes is not the only article listing the disadvantages of THC products when dealing with psychological conditions.
THC can lead to hypersensitivity, paranoia, and an unrealistic understanding of the present circumstances. These are not the types of feelings someone trying to get a good night’s rest is looking for.
Of course, there are some customers who argue there are some predominantly CBD products with a small amount of THC within their formula that is the perfect treatment plan for them! If you are interested in a product like that then we recommend coming into our store and talking with our staff about the best option for you.
And as always, we highly recommend our Delta Premium CBD to meet all your CBD needs!
Now, a quick recap. CBD can help treat insomnia because of how it targets the hypothalamus which is responsible for regulating our sleeping cycles and hormone patterns.
